The Crazy World of South Sudan

The good news is that Alice and I have finally got the tickets to fly to Yei on a UN flight for Friday returning on Tuesday.

The bad news is it doesn't go direct. We have to go to Yambio - about 600 miles and 2 hours away and 540 miles and one and a half hours flying back to Yei, which is like flying to Glasgow to Edinburgh via Birmingham! We will pass over Yei with enough time to wave a little wave to the blood red earthern strip 20,000 feet below knowing that we will be back in four hours.

Yei here we come...eventually.
