Lent Appeal – 40 Day Challenge – SCIAF WEE BOX Campaign

This year's Lent Appeal from SCIAF sees some of Scotland's top celebrities taking the 40 Day Challenge to help us make poverty and hunger a thing of the past and suppot Lent. Will you?

It’s simple. Just give something up during the 40 days of Lent – like chocolate, biscuits or wine – and put the money you save as a result into your SCIAF WEE BOX.Once Lent is over, send us your donation and we will use it to give families in Africa, Asia and Latin America the tools, training and support they need to help them stand on their own two feet and free themselves from poverty and hunger – for good.

Even a small sacrifice can make a BIG difference to people who are living in poverty. For example, for the cost of 40 bags of crisps, SCIAF can supply four families in Africa with a selection of seeds so that they can grow a greater variety of food. For the price of 40 cappuccinos, we can provide safe water for ten families and 40 chocolate bars could pay for a community fish farm in Cambodia.
